Guy A knowing that he was innocent but did not want to kick up a fuss, swallowed his pride and allowed them to shoot hurl hurtful remarks at him. they basically kicked up a big fuss about the whole matter.

a) what do you think of the girl?
b) how do you feel about her friends? are they really friends or foes?
c) did guy A do the right thing to remain silent? why?

a) Looking at the situation, the girl may have enjoyed chatting to guy A for some reason. but backed out when her friends knew about it. these clearly showed that for the sake of SAVING FACE,the girl was selfish enough to save herself but kill the pride and reputation of someone else, be it a friend or stranger, it was an act of SELF-CENTEREDNESS. she was prepared to see someone else suffer by being labelled a flirt which was obviously untrue than to stand up for him although it might lose her reputation among her friends. to add on, she was evil enough to join in the "fun" of verbally abusing guy A.
however, if the scenario is that the girl didnt enjoy talking to him. why bother to talk further? shouldnt she be firm to cut short the conversation and not carry on further, attracting unnecessary gossips. it was plain silly of the girl to join in with her friends and make a big "hoo-haa" out of such a tiny matter, which didnt much seem like a problem. what will she and her friends get out of this? fame? yes, they will be known to all as a bunch of reasonable, overreacting sucker for attention.

b)TRUE friends will do whatever it takes to get their friend out of trouble safe and sound. my definition of "safe and sound" is, NOT attracting unwanted attention from the public, etc. honestly, if they were really her friends. they would not have intervened the situation by blowing the "problem" even bigger than before, unless they wanted a share in fame by being known as the "true friends stand together". that was not wise at all.

c) having the love to make new friends isnt a bad thing. but the line is drawn between making good or bad friends. guy A shld have gotten his facts right about the girl and her background before going in depth into the conversation. he should have also observe the way the girl replies him so as to have a clue whether the girl is interested in the conversation with him or not.
it was wise of him to ignore while the girl and her friends hurl insults at him, like wild dogs barking in the woods. why stoop so low at their level? theres no point arguing with a bunch of wild dogs as you know, they'll never get it for they speak a "different language".

making friends WISELY is the most important factor in our lives as it is a daily occurance which will determine our future in the long run.

its finally 2008!

well 2007 was pretty tough for me the in the beginning as there were many changes i had to go through such as, the O level results, the new school, new enviroment and new friends. i was even working at that time. the overall was different back in my secondary school days where life was freaking boring. Everyone studied the same thing and exams were a torture.
looking back, im so glad all these secondary school nightmares are over and im currently enjoying my course, this is the FIRST time i admit to love studying.lol. unbelievable huh? i think so too.
well atleast now i know what i want and im loving it.=)

1) i feel that knowing what you want is the most important thing in life.can you imagine if your life didnt have any goals or targets to achieve, you'll just be living/wasting one day at a time and then you'll get all emo and think that life sucks as theres no meaning to life. -_-
no goals, no targets makes one feel lazy and useless. so step out that bad habit and start thinking of personal targets to achieve.

2) having your particular goal in mind, you need to come up with a list of steps to achieve it. you are no wonderperson, and you cant achieve your goals without doing anything. =) this process is called planning. every step has to be realistic. if its too hard, it makes one feel pathetic and frustrated, eventually giving up the thought of achieving which therefore brings one back to "square one", the beginning.

3) although you have goals in which you want to achieve, you have to makes sure that you stick by it ALL THE TIME. whats the point of announcing your goals to everyone and then clean forget about it the next minute? it is a similar scenario to when your mum is nagging at you, whatever that she says goes into one ear and then comes out of the other, skipping the "thinking process" in the brain. in other words, you simply dont care much.

Last but not least, is the importance of ones attitude.
no matter how well defined your steps to your goals are, if you dont have the right attitude, all that you have planned to achieve are going no where but down the drain.
having a postive and determined attitude is vital in goal achieving. determination makes you feel that nothing is impossible and therefore it gives you the drive to carry on. being positive is like when you are happy, you will feel at ease and then able to do anything wholeheartedly.

every STEP is important,if you lose one, other steps will be affected as well.
happy planning! =)
